Afterwards, he throws up which represents his disgust, and the trauma of what he went through. The revolting nature of this episode is undeniable, as the Prime Minister is forced to humiliate himself in front of the whole population in a live broadcast. This episode shows how politicians are so desperate to keep public opinion on their side, that they can be influenced to do the unthinkable. As such, after the severed finger is received, public opinion is shifted and is made more powerful by the sharing of information through media. The public now has greater access to information, and a greater ability to influence other people's opinions. This episode also highlights the increasing importance of public opinion in the age of social media.

This again shows how the government has the power to reveal or hide certain information. The government official who is told this information decides that this information will be "lost" from the report, and will not be made known to anyone- especially the Prime Minister. Later, it is revealed that the princess had actually been released before the broadcast, making the Prime Minister's actions meaningless. This scene shines a light on the fact that the government have the ability to keep matters private, and makes us question whether this is a good thing or not.

When the Prime Minister first hears about the video, he demands that the video should not be seen outside of the room. private information is significant in this episode. This is because the public gives attention to criminals, and therefore gives them a platform. Arguably, the involvement of the general public in political matters is not desirable or positive. The episode touches on many significant themes of our time, including the role of the press, public and social media in politics.
